THE FUTURE LIETH NOT IN THE GOLDS, DIAMONDS, OILS AND COCOAS BUT THE YOUTH OF AFRICA. I see no wrong with the younger generation being allowed to take leadership roles in this our time. I see nothing wrong with the society layind down ample structures to empower the youth of today to take active part in the democratic process of our dear nation. I have gone through the rat-hole and that of the hole of the crab. There is only one similarity, whiles that of the rat's is a hole, the same applies to that of the crab. But in all, we must never take an ignorant stance against the vast differences between these two holes. Whilst that of the crab holds water and mudd, that of the rat holds residual products of cassava, palm nut and dry earth. We need not to think in the abstract like that of an African rocket scientist who has never seen a rocket engine before but believes and hopes in fairy tales of the impossibles and unrealisticalities. So far as the future of our beloved nation(s) and continent lieth not in her vast natural resources like the Golds of Ghana and South Africa, the Oils of Nigeria and Lybia, the Cocoas of Cote d' Ivoire and Ghane and so on, and the elderly, the youth must thus be involved in decision making and as such mentorship routine from the older generation. This way we can safegaurd the future of our nations, continent and generations uborn. We can, and we must. Let that which have being eaten to spoilage go, the time is not tomorrow, instead it's about today and how we prepare against the unforseen tragedies of tomorrow.

CHURCH MATTERS! CHURCH MATTERS!! THE ODDS OF MY CHURCHISM AND THE MORALITY GUAGE MARK Church going has being a pleasurable desire and an allusive syndrome these days in our national, economic, social, cultural and political engagement. Every Sunday, I am confronted with thousands of evoking questions....Won't you go to church? At almost 10am and you haven't even taken your bath, won't you go to church? A tap is made on my door with knocks, upon opening it there they stand there, ah! you are still inside won't you go to church? When all these questions having been thrown at my face get fractured answers, I am starred sternly with looks that sends a strong message that as if "I AM THE SATAN HIMSELF". Sometimes, I am tempted to quizzle most church goers as, isn't christianity and churchism alien to our society? This sizzles quite often put me on the travel skate to Okonkwo in 'Things fall apart', when all he tried to empowere, waken, and revamp the spirit of his traditional community Umuofia from their slumber of missionarism. What does churchism in itself tell the likes of myself to put up a stench about christianity? I am not so much deluded by the 'Holy Bible' which some hold in pretence and practice vice. I am always the kicking side of dis-pleasure to appeal strongly that, Churchism isn't Christianity and Christianity isn't in itself a religion. If the apostles had the crowning to title them Christians of which Christianity evolved when the gentiles saw their lifestlyes as that of semblamce to Christ. Then it holds in it deliberation that Churchism is a religious practice whilst Christianity is a lifestlye or way of life. Eschewing hypocriticsms can be amountable to laying the bare facts as it is. The record of Church going and Christianity dominating our lives does not warrant people to put a measure of impudence on our African Triditional Religion and practices which have being in existence in times numeracy. The odds of Churchism and Christianism isn't the perfect and right yardstick for determing one's spirituality and moral conscienceness. We must therefore avail our minds to what is right, of the truth and morally acceptable to the Supreme Being, God, Divinity, the "gods" and ancestors as forescored by all believers and religious groupings.

RIDING IN MY FANTASIES [Poem] The last time we met, I mean I and the dying time was when the railing teeth of the rails were grinding was five decades ago. Or was it five years ago? Wait, it seems am on the potion of delusion. It seems nothing really has changed. The fatal scare in her left dimple is still igniting. Time does really change, but the scaried trauma still streches out. Was it that I did not fathom the circums of the tiding tampings? Ah, or was it that the baiting hook really never had a bait? With the phasing out shades of the walking moon, I still reckon the beams of anxiety moving through her veins in the noonings. I never prayed when the mourners spoke in the dirgical leaks. Was it not the trials of the wheelsome grave looters? Pause, wait, slow, I mean in silence lets ride on in this dream of my fantasies.

A CRY FROM AFAR: THE PAINS OF THE PEOPLE. [Poem] For soo many sleepless nights we have achieved nothing, for soo many fanciful days we are still where we are, indeed nothing new have being added to the fortunes of our people yet we sit in the dark cubicles and view the plights crippling our people in our opaque spectacles and without shame we pound our chest in pride for nothing worth edifying. But for today, our people are becoming wiser, our slave are staring at us with their eyes wild opened, their mouths watered with venom and their heart's haboring for us an unending bitterness and anger for our deceitefulness. We have made our people what they are today. We have made them stooges of disproportionate watermarks yet how have we felt in our shoes their cries and woes. As i speak, their hearts are up on their necks waiting without patience, holding on firmly to their "little weapons" and without fear of coercion to put the injustices we meted out to them to it best place in the society.

THE CANCEROUS ERA OF TELENOVELAS' AND THE TEMPTING PITTINESS OF OUR PROSPECTS AS A NATION Isn't it laudable and applaudic appease to our media house particularly the Television outfits for moving mountains, plateaus and ridges to entrench and popularise Telenovela series(soap operas') in our dear nation. Isn't not a shame of reward with medallions to grace the able media(TV) outfits of this nation of ours for their unfinching support for the overwhelmingly patronising premium placed on Telenovelas' by the Ghanaian citizenry. We have left the Century where the people of the white race deemed us as people who have "heads but with no head" and its quiet unfortunate that we still behave as if the 19th Century statement is indeed something worth ioting taking the African man into retrospect. As a sprouting young citizen of this blessed nation, and someone whose desirous wishes is to see our beloved motherland take on the trend of smart and fast transformation in terms of her infrastructural, social, political, historical, economic as well as cultural on a positive dimension, its really saddens me the more considering how woefully our Television Stations have turned into. Isn't it fair that I say they have turned into "stoogical and puppetic hang-overs"? Yes they deserve this crowning title with no shred of doubt. While some of us as zealous as the the pigeon twist but unprivilege in certain temples, yet with the sudden dominance of social media we are using this outlet to tell others about the things that are hidden from the world frontiers about what truely embodies us as Ghanaians and Africans, these indigenous television stations are not even prepared to grace us a minute of occasion to tell the story of Ghana and Africa on their platforms yet they are heating up the popularity contest of who shows or broadcast the more in terms of these Telenovelas'. There are a lot of innumerable questions which needs to be ask per the conscience or reasoning point of why these our very own Ghanaian Television Stations would show Telenovelas' at the expense of broadcasting things which reminds us of our past histories as a people and a nation. The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation with it mother station the Ghana Television(GTV)must bow their heads in shame for also bandwagoning this trend of media deviation. Whilst it is a bit pardonable on the part of these private Television Stations, its quiet regrettable having GTV also become a 'pigling' in this act. The degrading and damaging aspect is that, whilst these Telenovelas' persistently protray foreign cultures to the effect of our indigenous culture with scenes and acts which is unwholesome, it is so detrimental to the youth and future generational leaders of our country. Many of our people have 'no or partial' knowledge about the histories of the Great people of our nation who toiled and sacrificed their lives for us to see this day as a nation. Why can't these media outfits channel their energies and resources to this effect? We all are also to be blamed in one way or the other for this cancerous beast which is gradually eating us up. The Ghanaian consumer of Television programmes of this sort is never to be left out when whiping out the pains. Sponsors of such programmes might fall ply to the ignorance tooth bite of this syndrome because of their primarily motive of advertising their products to the consumer. In pulling down the dark clouds of Telenovelas' mitigating against our Television Stations and nation, we must all put our hands on deck including both the government and it agencies in finding effective means, measures and strategies in curing this dangerous but curable disease. This way we may be able to secure better prospects for our beloved nation and her future leaders.

THE SINKING SHADES OF THE 'EARTH' [Poem] Oh! Asaase Yaa The Great mother earth Your beauty surpasses all beauty You're the only one who seeks to the visualisation of the undenying needs of your children. By your deeds your children have forgotten your name by Odomankoma, oh, Great Asaase Yaa and in turns keep calling you 'earth'. Is it an infusion of Europeanism that has culminated into this effect? But I know when your name is mentioned it breeds a genuine symbolistic appeal of the tenacity of our traditionalism. Oh! The Great Asaase Yaa You that eradicate hunger Oh! Great Asaase Yaa You that produces the fuel of life. Why have you suddenly changed? Why this sudden solemness of silence? Is it that you no longer care? Or Is it that your children have wronged you? Or perphaps is it as a result of the horrorendous distortion by your children? Why this long muteness? Your intellectual display is no longer seen Your beauty has fade away like the life of a pauper. What happened? Can you please talk to us I guess we should bow our heads to the grace eminence of your presence. Hear the cry of your children We pray for your kindness Open your mammoth eyes to the plights of your wards, for we are dying No!! I mean we are extincting.
